About Sandy

A pillow shaped in the letter “S” for my colorful twin size bed. That was the first thing I ever sewed. I was 9 years old and very eager to learn to use my hand-me-down sewing machine. Almost 3 decades later I have had the most fun learning to sew quilts, handbags, clothing, and many other exciting projects because sewing is my most favorite pastime.

Hi I’m Sandy, I am a Mom to four beautiful children and a wife to a hunk. I spent 5 years in the Marine Corps, where I met my husband and graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Human Services. I absolutely love sewing and love the idea of teaching the lost art of sewing to people in my community.
